Orphan Sunday '21 Update...
Seasons are Changing!

We figured what better time to update than when we are quarantined at home sick with Covid on Orphan Sunday!

Just like the leaves are changing, we are excited our seasons of the adoption process are changing too.  It has been almost two and a half years since we began this process and are thrilled to say we are now working on the application by finishing our essays, hopeful to get our paperwork notarized and sent in by the end of November.  Once it is submitted, Faithful Adoption Consultants takes approximately two weeks to review our application (could be a little longer due to the holiday season); we have been in communication with them throughout the past two years and they are a joy to work with side by side.  Once we are approved, they will then match us with a home study agency in Pennsylvania.  The home study process and paperwork averages about three months.  At the completion of the home study, we then will become “active”—the average wait to be matched is six months, and once matched (could be anywhere in the US) that could mean the child is already born and needing a home or could mean an expectant mom knows in however many months when her baby is born that the child(ren) will be needing adoptive parents.

We continue to pray daily for our future child(ren) and for the biological parents of our future child(ren); we are thrilled by this changing season, and reflective and grateful by how far God has brought us already in the process as well as all He has taught us throughout this journey.  We truly would not be at this point of moving forward without the faithful love and support of our amazing and irreplaceable family and friends, so we say a most genuine “thank you!” to all of you.  Thank you also for your continued prayers, love, support, and care for our adoption—we are humbled and grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
