Adopting Baby Wags Fundraiser Update
2020 – the year of flexibility, changes…and Covid. Unfortunately our Winter Wonderland Adoption Carnival is another event officially canceled, but no worries, not all of our planning will be for not!
We introduce Plan B which can be participated in from the comfort of your home while sipping hot cocoa, cup o’ java, eggnog, or what-have-you! Christmas bells are ringing (yes, Hallmark launches their around-the-clock Christmas this weekend) and we are helping you get in the festive spirit with our upcoming: (1) Virtual Silent Auction and (2) Christmas Cookies for a Cause DIY Decorating Kits – think one-stop-shop Christmas shopping with the silent auction featuring an eclectic blend of fabulous donated services/items for males, females, kids, and families (free home delivery if local), and no-mess, no-fuss, homespun family fun with the DIY homemade cookie kits (also free home delivery if local)!
1. Virtual Silent Auction will go live Black Friday, November, 27th on our adoption Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3300596756721693. Bidding will be open until Sunday, December 13th, 9pm and items will be distributed to the winners that week (December 14th-18th) in time for you to put them under the tree for your beloved!

Cookie kits will be delivered and/or available for pick-up December 13th and December 14th, unless otherwise specified on the order form.
We would so appreciate if y’all share this info with family/friends/coworkers/Facebook acquaintances - the more participants the merrier! A big “thank you!” for helping to make our season brighter as we get that much closer to being able to adopt and give a child(ren) a home!
P.S. If you are in the area and participating in any way in the fundraiser(s) and willing to oblige, I had painted a snowman & penguin picture opportunity (Papa Craiggers had cut it out) for those who attend the carnival, so instead starting November 7th, we will have it on our front porch – if you are in the area, please stop by and take a selfie posing with your heads in it, and text or Facebook message the pic to us. Additionally, you can always #AdoptingBabyWags on social media to spread the word about the fundraisers if you want! Ultimately, we want to collect the pictures and print a collage for our future child(ren)’s baby book (at the risk of our porch looking like a sore thumb to the neighborhood for the months of November and December lol). If you are not in the area and are supporting from afar, feel free to let me know and I can text you a picture of it for you to photo shop your heads into…I have no idea how to do that, but I’m sure you or Google can figure it out! ;) (Or if you are supporting from afar you could also take a different festive pic of your family and text/message it to us for us to include). Text or private message with any questions (i.e. if you need our address)!
Additionally, if you are popping by, there will be a box of handmade decoratable (yes, new word) dog bandanas I had made this past summer for one of the intended carnival stands – feel free to grab 1, 2, 5…10 for the kids in your life to decorate for their favorite furry friends or favorite stuffies…a dab of puff paint, a little glitter, a splash of sparkle, a stroke of fabric markers…and you have yourself a great Christmas project with the kids! There are various sizes and patterns so feel free to pick through and select what you want!
